Welcome back to my blog, I recently started working on this project called Music Marketing. I was assigned a group with two of my other classmates. Each individual group were assigned a genre of music along with a song. My group specifically got country music. Which at first was not too exciting, considering that I don't really listen to country music. But as we carried out our research on the genre, I quickly realized the wide variety of artist that are considered country singers. This made me realize that country music wasn't too bad. We then continued to research individual artist and go through website on top of website. In hopes of gathering the most valuable information towards the artist we had focused on. The research aspect of the project did not come with many challenges.
Then, once we had documented all of our research, we moved on to the brainstorming for the music video. This did come along with a few challenges. Due to the fact that we had to plan out where exactly we wanted to film. Along with figuring out the location of the music video. We also had to keep in mind the schedules of all the group members. More specifically coming to a collected decision of when and what time to film. Also, figuring out what we wanted the music video to consist of. This decision was crucial to be made carefully since it was such a big part of the project. We eventually figured it out and made a story board with the scenes that we had in mind to carry out.
My group found it helpful to create a schedule with the things we wanted to have done by the certain dates. This made the process of getting everything done go smoothly. Rather than forgetting to complete something or even procrastinating the work that had to get turned in. Luckily everyone worked well and efficiently together. I can strongly say that everyone did pull their part.
